Polish Zloty Online Sports Betting Sites

There are some excellent sportsbooks on the market today that I would never recommend to you as a Polish sports bettor simply because they fail to offer Polish Zloty betting accounts.  While these services might otherwise be a great place to bet, currency acceptance is such an important issue to highlight and there are several excellent sites that do offer you direct PLN wagering.

Why is this such and important issue?  Simply, it saves you a lot of money on currency exchange fees.  Otherwise you’d need to exchange your funds through your banking method of choice or potentially with the sportsbook itself every time you deposit or withdraw funds from your betting account.  With every transaction, you would lose approximately three to five per cent of the value of the amount transferred.

Due to the nature of the exchange transaction, you will never see exactly how much you lose in fees.  You will see your exchange rate.  However, your rate has been marked up from the day’s best rate used by the exchanging company.  Currency exchange is actually one of the ways that many sportsbooks make money - it is part of their business model.  You can generally tell which sportsbooks operate with this model based on how many currencies they support.  If they only support a few, they want to make money on currency exchange.  Thus, when a sportsbook makes the investment to offer Polish Zloty accounts and removes their opportunity to make money on your exchange fees, you know they really value Polish customers. (See current Polish Zloty value in Euros)

Why Poles should only bet with Zloty-supporting bookmakers

Let us assume that you have begun betting online and you have made your first deposit, but have decided to use an online sportsbook that does NOT offer PLN accounts.  As a fairly active bettor, expecting to make several bets per week, you wanted to deposit the equivalent of 5,000 Zloty.  Since the betting site you chose does not accept the Zloty directly, you actually needed to buy a balance in a supported currency like the Euro.

Assume that your chosen sportsbook currency balance is the Euro.  The day’s best rate will be a long number that will look similar to 1.00 PLN = 0.233648 EUR.  So if you were actually trading in large amounts on the World market, your 5,000 Zloty would be worth 1,168.24 Euros.  However, the rate you will be given will essentially be a retail exchange rate that will have a built-in fee valued at a figure equal to 2.5% to 5% of the transacted amount.

So in this example, if the exchange-house were to charge a 4% fee, the actual exchange rate you would be given would be 1.00 PLN = 0.22430208, which would yield 1,121.51 Euros for your betting account balance.  Thus, just to get started betting, with no actual value or enjoyment received, you will have paid over 46 Euros as a cost to exchange your money.  This manner of loss will occur every time you deposit or withdraw funds.

Happily, there is no need to waste this money when you may simply choose a service provider that supports your native Polish currency.  Even if you are a wealthy person, no one enjoys giving their cash away when you don’t have to, especially when no you are receiving no real benefit.  You are simply enriching the bank or sportsbook.

The online sportsbooks listed above all value the Polish betting market sufficiently to offer Polish Zloty accounts and support complementary Zloty sportsbook banking methods which ensure that you may enjoy your money efficiently for the wagering that will provide you with entertainment.  If you would prefer to play with a website with a Polish language betting interface from your desktop or mobile, three of the four listed Zloty sportsbooks offer this as an option.

Polish Zloty Sportsbook Banking

Betting in Zloty is only possible if you can use a banking method to move your money as Zloty without exchanging it.  Luckily, the top e-wallets like Skrill and Neteller also allow you to create accounts with them and set your base currency to the Zloty to match your sportsbook account.

If you prefer to use a prepaid card option like paysafecard, you can also buy these locally within Poland in Zloty and redeem them at all of the listed sportsbooks.  Read more about how these sportsbook banking methods work.
